Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian, TV host and performer famous for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas was raised in Arkansas between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl has an extremely troubled family. Sheryl spent the majority of her childhood caring for her sister Frankie with polio. When she was growing up, Sheryl experienced many issues with her mom. Sheryl asserts that, at one point she was stabbed by her mother's father after he got too close to her. Sheryl became a military officer after graduating from the college. Sheryl's passion for comedy was evident. She became the first woman to be a finalist in the competition Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. She started her TV career when she was a frequent performer at the HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She hosted a show on television in the year 2000 on Oh Drama! Then in 2011, she started participating in The Talk as co-host. Also, she's been an unnamed character on shows like Bulworth Nicki and Beauty Shop.
